SPRING SHOW ’12 HAS MANY FIRSTS!

April 29, 2012 by Admin

Horses, riders and spectators all enjoyed the beautiful day and our brand-new, state-of-the-art outdoor arena! The show had something for everybody, Dressage, Hunt Seat, Dressage-Trail, and the ever popular Egg-Bobbing class on foot. Congratulations to all!

Lula Langdon won the Trail Children’s Division on Bailey. Ella Seymour and Mia Emy made their showing debuts on lead, and Katia Shevloff won her Walk/Trot over Ground-Poles Class! Katia’s older sister Alexandra had a great 2’3″ jumping round on Mickey.

Cricket Hill welcomed Saddle Clubbers Morgan Antalek and Fiona Sankey, the first time at one of our shows. Fiona and Ray sailed around the ground-pole course with ease. Morgan competed over ground-poles and was second in the Dressage Trail class, both on Mickey. She served as an excellent ring assistant!

Other highlights include Nikoline’s stunning score of 91% in Dressage-Trail with owner Wendy Luscombe. Octane, the youngest of Wendy’s Fjords, isn’t far behind with scores of 73% (Training 1) and 81% (Training 2). Well done Octane! Camille Reppert is building a great partnership with Beau with an eye toward LYDF. A special mention to Sarah Morgan riding Ricky, scoring a “best ever” 70% at Training 3! Working student Allison Reding capped her last week at Cricket Hill with a 65% at Training level on Charlie. As she goes back to college, we wish her all the happiness and success that she greatly deserves.
